Wind and sea for the next seven days at each port where we operate, from the ECMWF and Météo-France models. The forecast is fetched fresh each time you open the page.
All ports now
F0 to F12 is the Beaufort wind force; the words after the sea height are the sea state. What the figures mean

Pick a port for its 7-day forecast. A day is flagged when the wind reaches 25 knots, gusts 34 knots or the sea 2.5 m.
7-day forecast
Weather and port operations
- Arzew and Bethioua. Berthing at B2 and P3 can be held up by open-sea weather: strong wind or swell. No ship berths or sails between 21:00 and 05:00 unless the pilots decide otherwise. Port information
- Skikda. In winter, swell can send tankers out to the roads, or need tugs to hold them alongside to finish loading. Night berthing at P3 depends on the weather. Port information
- Every port. The harbour master and the pilots decide when it is safe to move a ship. Ask us for the situation at the port before you plan around the forecast.

What the numbers mean
Every wind reading carries its Beaufort force, and every wave height its sea state, so you can see at a glance what the figures mean at sea. A day is flagged from 25 knots of wind (force 6), gusts of 34 knots (force 8, gale) or 2.5 m of sea (rough).

| F3 | Gentle breeze | 7–10 | Large wavelets, a few white horses |

| F9 | Strong gale | 41–47 | High waves, dense foam, spray cuts visibility |
| F10 | Storm | 48–55 | Very high waves, the sea looks white |
| F11 | Violent storm | 56–63 | Exceptionally high waves |
| F12 | Hurricane force | 64 and over | Air full of foam and spray |
| State | Height |

- Wind and gusts are in knots, at 10 m above the sea. The letters say where the wind comes from; the arrow points the way it blows.
- Sea is the height of the waves, wind sea and swell together; swell is shown on its own with its period.
- The forecast is a guide for planning, not a navigational warning. Use official forecasts and warnings at sea.
